As the sport grows more cycles (with at least some thanks to the popularity of MMA increasining), weight training for wrestling has become a highly sought after. There are two major issues that I saw on weight training programs for the fight in my many years of experience.
First, a large majority, especially in college, mostly offshoots of the training program soccer strength. Although there are some similarities, football players should focus on development of absolute strength, wrestlers during their strength training should focus on the relative strength and force (the force of body weight).
Secondly, there are certain systems and programs that are available, which are absolutely fantastic.
